Type specimen: CM 76867, a skull. Its type locality is 24km NW of Pittsburgh, which is in a Virgilian terrestrial limestone in the Casselman Formation of Pennsylvania.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at 24km NW of Pittsburgh
