Type specimen: NMM (PW) 1992/1376-LS, a skull. Its type locality is Morsbacher hof, near Mannweiler-Colln, which is in an Asselian/Sakmarian terrestrial horizon in the Lauterecken-Odernehim Formation of Germany.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Morsbacher hof, near Mannweiler-Colln
