Sister taxa: Toxorhina (Ceratocheilus) caucasiensis, Toxorhina (Ceratocheilus) christelius, Toxorhina (Ceratocheilus) eridanus
Type specimen: NHMUK PI II 1870, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Dominican Amber (NHML/BMNH collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Dominican Amber (NHML/BMNH collection)
