Sister taxon: Rhachiocephalus magnus
Type specimen: GPIT K 15 A, a skull. Its type locality is Kingori locality, Ruhuhu Basin, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in the Usili Formation of Tanzania.
Ecology: herbivore
Distribution: found only at Kingori locality, Ruhuhu Basin
