Sister taxon: Convallisodon convexus
Type specimen: IVPP V5486, a mandible. Its type locality is Bayan Ulan site (lower 3 m), which is in a Paleocene terrestrial siltstone in the Nomogen Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Bayan Ulan site (lower 3 m)
