Type specimen: FG 321/8/198, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Sembachtal near Winterstein, which is in a Gzhelian terrestrial horizon in the Ilmenau Formation of Germany.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Sembachtal near Winterstein
