Type specimen: FG 321/9/1, a skull. Its type locality is Gottlob quarry, Friedrichroda, which is in an Asselian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Goldlauterer Formation of Germany.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Gottlob quarry, Friedrichroda
