Type specimen: MJSN SCR011-87, a partial skeleton (carapace and plastron+left scapula). Its type locality is Sur Combe Ronde (Lower Virgula Marls), which is in a Kimmeridgian marine marl in the Reuchenette Formation of Switzerland.
