Sister taxon: Chelydosaurus vranii
Type specimen: GSI 18071, a partial skeleton (pectoral girdle). Its type locality is Baliarpatti spur, Marahom (Verma collection), which is in an Artinskian lacustrine shale in the Mamal Formation of India.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Baliarpatti spur, Marahom (Verma collection)
