Type specimen: SBEI 0046, a tooth (left upper cheek tooth). Its type locality is Kaseki-kabe (facies III), Shiramine, which is in a Barremian mire/swamp mudstone/sandstone in the Kuwajima Formation of Japan.

Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Kaseki-kabe (facies III), Shiramine
