Sister taxa: Baissophryganoides monstruosus, Baissophryganoides ponomarenkoi

Type specimen: PIN3145/796, a forewing. Its type locality is Anda-Khuduk 2 well, Ushgiin-Nur Mountains (PIN collection 3145), which is in an Aptian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Anda-Khuduk Formation of Mongolia.
