Type specimen: OMNH 25809, a tooth (left upper molar missing the distal stylar shelf and some cusp apices). Its type locality is Mussentuchit (OMNH V239), which is in an Albian/Cenomanian terrestrial horizon in the Cedar Mountain Formation of Utah.
