Type specimen: IGPS 86885, a shell. Its type locality is Motoiwazawa Valley, southwest of Kawaguchi, Sumita-cho, Kesen-gun, which is in an Artinskian carbonate sandstone/limestone in the Sakamotozawa Formation of Japan.
