Sister taxon: Meniscodon europaeum
Type specimen: NMB EG 513, a tooth (M2). Its type locality is Egerkingen, Huppersand fissure, which is in a Bartonian fissure fill horizon in Switzerland.
Ecology: ground dwelling frugivore-omnivore
Distribution: found only at Egerkingen, Huppersand fissure
