Type specimen: IVPP V4861, a partial skull. Its type locality is IVPP Loc. 72133, Chaling Basin, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial claystone in the Zaoshi Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at IVPP Loc. 72133, Chaling Basin
