Sister taxa: Palaeoneurorthus bifurcatus, Palaeoneurorthus groehni, Palaeoneurorthus hoffeinsorum
Type specimen: SMNS BB-2817, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Staatliches Museum fur Naturkunde (SMNS) collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
