Type specimen: SGHNMF MA0953, a partial skull. Its type locality is Selva fishing ground, which is in a Messinian/Zanclean offshore shelf phosphorite in Spain.
Ecology: aquatic piscivore-carnivore
Distribution: found only at Selva fishing ground
