Sister taxa: Eomys alulghensis, Eomys fahlbuschi, Eomys huerzeleri, Eomys minor, Eomys orientalis, Eomys quercyi, Eomys zitteli
Type specimen: MNHN specimen, a mandible. Its type locality is Ronzon, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial lime mudstone in France.
Ecology: volant herbivore
Distribution:
• Oligocene of Belgium (1 collection), France (5), Germany (6), Spain (1)
Total: 13 collections each including a single occurrence
