Sister taxa: Plesispermophilus angustidens, Plesispermophilus argoviensis, Plesispermophilus macrodon
Type specimen: Bale museum specimen no. 2180, a mandible. Its type locality is Coderet (MP 30), which is in a MP 30 terrestrial horizon in France.
Ecology: fossorial herbivore
Distribution:
• Oligocene of France (1 collection), Germany (1)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
