Type specimen: PRI 33195. Its type locality is Cape Fear Arch, Long Bay ship channel, core BS92-12, which is in a Thanetian carbonate packstone in the Bald Head Shoals Formation of North Carolina.

Ecology: facultatively mobile semi-infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Cape Fear Arch, Long Bay ship channel, core BS92-12
