Type specimen: USNM 523945, a valve (Plate I). Its type locality is USGS 6915-CO. Boyle County Quarry northeast of Perryville, which is in a Chatfieldian carbonate limestone in the Lexington Limestone Formation of Kentucky.

Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal grazer

Distribution:

• Ordovician of United States (3: Kentucky collections)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
