Sister taxa: Trox antiquus, Trox cretaceus, Trox sibericus
Type specimen: PIN 5249/1, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Kiya River at Dmitrievka (PIN collection 5249), which is in an Albian terrestrial sandstone in the Kiya Formation of the Russian Federation.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Kiya River at Dmitrievka (PIN collection 5249)
