Type specimen: CCMGE 186/12458, a partial skeleton (isolated left xiphiplastron, associated shell fragments, a partial skull and a lower jaw). Its type locality is Kylodzhun I, which is in an Albian/Albian fluvial-lacustrine claystone in the Alamyshik Formation of Kyrgyzstan.
