Type specimen: MCSN8463, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Meride D, Val Mara, Monte San Giorgio (MCSN), which is in a Longobardian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Meride Formation of Switzerland.

Distribution: found only at Meride D, Val Mara, Monte San Giorgio (MCSN)
