Type specimen: BC 60002, a shell (internal mould of conjoined valves). Its type locality is Gas pipeline exposure (2006) 200 m SE of Cnwce, which is in a Rawtheyan marine mudstone in the Slade and Redhill Mudstone Formation of the United Kingdom.
