Type specimen: UCMP 31246, a shell. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 3150, north of Mount Diablo, which is in a Ypresian coastal sandstone in the Meganos Formation of California.

Ecology: epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at UCMP loc. 3150, north of Mount Diablo
