Type specimen: IVPP V 1038, a partial skeleton (partly complete carapace with parts of plastron, neck vertebrae and girdles). Its type locality is Gaozhuang Fauna (Teilhard de Chardin's Zone II), Yushe County, Shanxi Province, which is in the Ruscinian of horizon China.

Ecology: aquatic piscivore-carnivore

Distribution: found only at Gaozhuang Fauna (Teilhard de Chardin's Zone II), Yushe County, Shanxi Province
