Sister taxon: Basinotopus lamarckii
Type specimen: MGUH 26778. Its type locality is Trelde Naes (MGUH collection), which is in a Ypresian/Lutetian marine claystone in the Lillebaelt Clay Formation of Denmark.
Ecology: epifaunal carnivore
Distribution: found only at Trelde Naes (MGUH collection)
