Type specimen: INAH CPC RFG 2544 P.F.1., a skeleton. Its type locality is Vallecillo quarry (CPC collection), which is in a Turonian offshore limestone in the Agua Nueva Formation of Mexico.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Vallecillo quarry (CPC collection)
