Type specimen: DMNH 56658, an other (partial skull with lower jaw and disarticulated postcrania). Its type locality is Main Elk Creek, DMNH loc. 1306, which is in a Norian/Rhaetian crevasse splay siltstone in the Chinle Formation of Colorado.
