Type specimen: Museo de Historia Natural, Caracas no. 237, a mandible. Its type locality is Head of Quebrada Agua Viva, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Trujillo Formation of Venezuela.
Ecology: scansorial herbivore
Distribution: found only at Head of Quebrada Agua Viva
