Type specimen: DGM 320-R, a partial skull. Its type locality is Pastos Bons, Maranhao, which is in a Kungurian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Lower Pedra de Fogo Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Pastos Bons, Maranhao
