Type specimen: NMW, no. 1994/00271/0001/1, a tooth (Left M1). Its type locality is Altynshokysu (bone bed II), which is in an Oligocene terrestrial claystone in the Aral Formation of Kazakhstan.

Ecology: fossorial herbivore

Distribution: found only at Altynshokysu (bone bed II)
