Type specimen: MHNT SAN1163, a partial shell (fragmentary right hyo/hypoplastron). Its type locality is Sansan, which is in a Langhian/Serravallian lacustrine - small claystone/marl in France.
Ecology: aquatic piscivore
Distribution: there are no occurrences of Chelydropsis sansaniensis in the database
