Type specimen: AMNH 6297, a partial skull. Its type locality is East Surface Quarry, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial horizon in the Olcott Formation of Nebraska.

Ecology: aquatic piscivore

Distribution: found only at East Surface Quarry
