Sister taxon: Geragnostus (Novoagnostus) longicollis
Type specimen: NIGP 155044, a pygidium. Its type locality is Collection NJ371, Dawangou, northwestern Tarim Basin, which is in a Sandbian basinal (siliciclastic) mudstone/lime mudstone in the Saergan Formation of China.
Ecology: slow-moving epifaunal detritivore
