Belongs to Illaenoides according to T. Kobayashi and T. Hamada 1986
Sister taxa: Illaenoides abnormis, Illaenoides elongata, Illaenoides trilobus
Type specimen: PA 18075, a pygidium. Its type locality is new trilobite collection, Gomi Quarry, which is in a Ludlow reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks/shale in the Fukata Formation of Japan.
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore
Distribution: found only at new trilobite collection, Gomi Quarry
