Type specimen: MUSM 1980, a partial skeleton (skull with periotics, bullae and partial skeleton). Its type locality is Roca Negra, which is in a Burdigalian marine sandstone in the Chilcatay Formation of Peru.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Roca Negra
