Sister taxa: Thoracosaurus borissiaki, Thoracosaurus brevispinus, Thoracosaurus isorhynchus, Thoracosaurus macrorhynchus, Thoracosaurus neocesariensis, Holops pneumaticus, Holops cordatus
Type specimen: ANSP 9388-93, a set of teeth (Teeth and bone fragments). Its type locality is Barnsboro "greensand" (Hornerstown), which is in a Maastrichtian marginal marine horizon in the Hornerstown Formation of New Jersey.
Ecology: carnivore
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of United States (2: New Jersey collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
