Sister taxa: Juraheterophlebia kazakhstanensis, Juraheterophlebia sinica

Type specimen: NIGP 165264, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Daohugou, Liushuwanzi outcrop (NIGP collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.

Ecology: fast-moving volant carnivore-insectivore

Distribution: found only at Daohugou, Liushuwanzi outcrop (NIGP collection)
