Type specimens:
- Zorotypus (Octozoros) cenomanianus: NIGP 166618, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (NIGP collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
- Zorotypus robustus: EMTG BU-002293, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (EMTG collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
