Type specimen: IGPS 15436, a shell. Its type locality is Kosiba, Kanasawa-mura, which is in a Calabrian marine sandstone in the Koshima Formation of Japan.
Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Kosiba, Kanasawa-mura
