Type specimen: UF 9427, a partial shell (incomplete shell). Its type locality is McGehee Farm, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Alachua Formation of Florida.

Ecology: aquatic omnivore

Distribution: found only at McGehee Farm
