Type specimen: CM 2016.6.1, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is M34/f1074, Waipara River, which is in a Selandian/Thanetian marine sandstone in the Waipara Greensand Formation of New Zealand.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at M34/f1074, Waipara River
