Type specimen: BMNH L.82967, a shell. Its type locality is Amamgbala, which is in a Maastrichtian offshore shale in the Nkporo Shale Formation of Nigeria.
Ecology: facultatively mobile shallow infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Amamgbala
