Type specimen: UCMP 75465, a set of vertebrae (atlas). Its type locality is Ingram Creek Site 2 (Neroly), which is in a Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in California.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Ingram Creek Site 2 (Neroly)
