Type specimen: S.Sal.Scar.Paleo.2012-045, a mandible (right mandibular fragment with p4-m3). Its type locality is Quebrada PeƱas Blancas, which is in a Miocene fluvial sandstone in the Palo Pintado Formation of Argentina.
