Type specimen: UA-Amb007, a partial skull (Nearly complete skull preserved in negative relief in an ironstone nodule). Its type locality is Right bank Ifasy River, NE of Anaborano, which is in an Induan/Smithian deltaic siliciclastic in the Middle Sakamena Formation of Madagascar.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Right bank Ifasy River, NE of Anaborano
