Sister taxa: none

Type specimen: MUSM 2545, a partial skull (skull lacking the anterior portion of the rostrum, the ear bones, both mandibles and the hyoid bones). Its type locality is Cerro Colorado Macrosqualodelphis type locality, which is in a Burdigalian marine siltstone in the Chilcatay Formation of Peru.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Cerro Colorado Macrosqualodelphis type locality
