Type specimen: UCMP 15900. Its type locality is UCMP 1817, Urruttia Canyon-Salt Creek, which is in a Ypresian deep-water shale in the Lodo Formation of California.
Ecology: epifaunal carnivore
Distribution: found only at UCMP 1817, Urruttia Canyon-Salt Creek
